Random Grief

Random Grief

Sometimes grief hits in stupid places.

This one made me smile.

Today I made some celery snacks. Softened cream cheese mixed with minced onions, jalapeño ETB, garlic, and freshly shredded cheddar cheese. 🧀

Spread on bite-sized celery? AWESOME!

Anyway…

I was out of plastic wrap in the pantry.

I went out to the shed, where I keep the extra stuff I catch on sale or with coupons.

There it sat.

A double pack of Glad Cling Wrap that my Momma bought me the last Christmas she spent with me.

It may have cost $8 back in 2024.

Today? It’s priceless!!!!

I smiled as I split the two-pack.

Momma was still saving me a year later.

She bought it because I had purchased some cheap stuff that I couldn’t stand using. I couldn’t throw it away, but I pitched a fit every time I had to use it.

Thanks, Momma, for the smile tonight.

I miss you, but you keep showing up.

You sure were, and still are, a blessing. ♡
